I’m very thankful for Kirkwood Animal Hospital, and everyone who works there. My dog needed assistance in the middle of Thanksgiving holiday and they were able to attend us in the same day. Everybody at the front desk is friendly and helpful, which makes a lot easier for this moment that can be very stressful.
And Dr Hart is very knowledgeable but equally important, kind to humans and pets. For the first time I see my dog happy to go to a clinic! And this says a lot.

Wonderful experience. Lots of love and compassion towards my Rat Terrier, Charlie.
I took her in because she has been acting like something is wrong with her left ear, so much so that for the first time in 4 years, she snapped at me when I went to try and inspect it. At that point of course I freaked out and thought something must really be wrong.
After a quick test and an examination of her inner ear by the doctor, I was relieved to learn that nothing is wrong. The doctor said sometimes they just have passing habits, like chewing nails or in this case, messing with her ear.
Everyone was a perfect blend of professional, confident, thorough, friendly and caring. The price was entirely reasonable, and I wasn’t pressured in the least to purchase a care plan, shots, nothing, which is something I’ve encountered elsewhere in the past and has no place in a medical setting.
Definitely recommend, and is now my dog’s regular doctor should anything arise in the future.

We’ve been bringing our cats here the last year and I couldn’t have better things to say. The doctors, techs, and office staff are all kind, compassionate, and always willing to elaborate and help with any questions you may have.

Scheduling is a breeze. Our cats love the separate waiting area and entrances for cats and dogs. Visits are quick but thorough. They always have us in and out in less than 30 minutes.

I LOVE Kirkwood Animal Hospital. Every veterinarian my pets have seen has been wonderful. One of my dogs is reactive and can not sit in the lobby; when I notify them of this before her visit they make sure to get her directly into a room. She is not the easiest patient, but they work so well with her! I have also been able to get my pets in same day or next day on several occasions as well.

If you decide to take your pet here, Make sure you keep a very thorough and detailed record of your interactions with the animal hospital. Keep a date and time of every phone call and what transpired during the phone call. If they left a voicemail, keep the voicemail. Keep every email. If the doctor gives you a time frame on when they are going to contact you or anything like that, write that down and make sure the doctor knows that this is the time that they said so they will be held to their word. I just took my pet here for the first time in the beginning of July and was not prescribed medication until the middle of July. Not only was the care I received up until this point extremely inconsistent, with me having to proactively contact the vet just to get an update when he said he would contact me first, but the biggest thing is they tried to tell me that they have had a medication and prescription food waiting for me for over a month when my very first appointment ever had been barely three weeks prior to the phone call. The vet didn't even prescribe food or medication during the first appointment, so really it had only been 8 days since we were given a prescription. I still have no idea where they got this "little over a month" time frame, and when I brought it up, I never received an answer for it. Not to mention, the vet said he would order medications and food but never told me they was ready to pick up, so again it's on the client to constantly contact them for simple updates. It was extremely disappointing and concerning to have this experience, especially my pet was a new patient and we started experiencing issues right away. The sad thing is everyone there is very nice, but niceness doesn't treat your pet's illness. I would not recommend bringing your pet here but if you do, keep a detailed record of every single interaction you have with the vet and with the hospital both inside and outside of the hospital.
